Whangārei: Aroha Gardens & Community Centre

Tai Tokerau Timebank in Whangārei has a new Community Garden signed up as an Organisational Member!

Aroha Gardens and Community Centre is an absolutely wonderful space – much like a secret garden - off the Kamo Road. Hidden down a driveway beside CCS Disability Action at 291 Kamo Road, it is an extensive area of fruit trees, gardens and buildings.

As a Timebank member you can earn time credits by volunteering there. Gardens are open 9am – 12pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Check out their contact details on www.timeoverflow.org

The gardens grow food to share!

There is also a Free Sharing Shed on the premises, open at the same time. Much like an op shop, but everything is free.
