Whangārei’s July Repair Cafe was great fun!
Organised by For Our Real Clean Environment, Timebank Organisational Members, means that Timebank members can use their Time Credits instead of koha for any repairs they get done.
I took in 2 pairs of secateurs and a pair of shears for sharpening and cleaning. And John did a great job and now I’m ready for winter pruning!
The variety of repairs keeps growing! On Saturday the following repairs were available: electrical; sewing; darning; electronics; computing; carpentry / woodwork; tool sharpening and cleaning; heavy duty sewing.
You can relax while your repairs are done with tea, coffee and homemade cakes!
Each repaired item gets weighed and recorded as 'saved' from going into landfill.
The next Repair Café is on Saturday 19th August, so come and join in the fun!
You can find the Cafe in Reyburn House, Studio in the Town Basin.
