About the event
You will learn how to make a facemask from new or repurposed fabric – I’ve used cotton vintage fabric for the front and a 1000 thread count sheet for the inside but…
You will need cotton fabric, elastic for the ear fastenings and some wire for the fitted nose – I recommend foam coated soft wire used to tie trees/scrubs to stakes.
You will need your own sewing machine, fabric, matching thread, iron, scissors etc for the Zoom workshop.
A pattern will be emailed to you, which you will need to print out – it would also be helpful if you could cut out your fabric prior to the Zoom call.
Who can attend: Anyone who (ideally) has some sewing experience and is wanting to create a facemask from clothing destined for the landfill. Repurposing used clothing is a small step in helping…
