About the event
Come take a trip down memory lane and share childhood knowledge and stories of your food gathering adventures around Kaitaia. Let's see if the old fruit trees still exist, how about the watercress patch or the yum-yums? Maybe we will make some new discoveries.
Let's learn together what we can eat, and what's good for crafts, games, or medicine. The last Tuesday each month, so we can watch the changes throughout the seasons of the year. Afterwards, we'll make a kai, drink rongoā, and do a craft - all using plants and rākau we've found along the way.
Meet at Anō Anō, next to the Eco Centre on Bank Street. Dress warm, wear gumboots, and be prepared to veer away from the footpaths and roads (message us if you're unsure about the terrain).
We run on funding & donations, and koha is appreciated (can be given inside Anō Anō)
