Kite Making Workshop

"~Seasonal Sessions~ will be held to celebrate the seasons of the year. We will do crafts suited to the season, and invite the sharing of stories about what this time of year means for us in our own lives, in the cultures we have come from, and in this land we call home, Aotearoa.

This Seasonal Session is a Kite-Making Workshop for Matariki.

We will learn how to make zero waste kites from bamboo and repurposed fabrics. Then we'll hope for wind at Matariki, so we can fly our kites to send messages and connect with those who are far from us.

There will be a Matariki Market at Karikari Community Hall over the long weekend, where kite-flying will be encouraged!
