In this practical three-hour workshop, Cath will introduce you to a range of common fabrics and explain how their weight, stretch, drape and fibre content can affect the finished result. You’ll learn how to identify the direction and grain of fabric, position pattern pieces correctly, transfer markings and cut your fabric accurately.

This class is suitable for complete beginners and anyone wanting to improve their fabric-handling skills. You don’t need to have attended the earlier workshops to take part.
