About the event
Drop in and help us make beds for our local animal shelters out of waste textiles. Several styles possible, with varying degrees of sewing ability required. If you're keen to learn, we're keen to teach! There are also some simple tug toys that can be made with no sewing skills at all. Timebank members earn timecredits for their mahi. If you'd rather take the bed you make home with you just pop a koha in the box, otherwise they'll go to the SPCA kennels and Donna Doolitle's Animal Rescue. The idea is that the beds go with the animals up for adoption to their new home so that they've got something familiar to help them settle in, so there will always be a need for more.
