About the event
Have you ever wondered how much money you spend on gladwrap, ziplock bags, toilet paper, nappies, tissues, paper towels and all the other single use items you use at home? Or have you worried about the impact of these on our environment each time you throw them in the rubbish?
Reitu and Cynthia from Para Kore will be running this session where they'll talk about alternatives. Then we'll all work together to make a whole bunch of alternatives that you can use again and again - just like in the old days.
You can make anything from hankies to cloth nappies, beeswax wraps to sandwich bags, cleaning rags to elasticated fabric bowl covers. Everything reusable - either with a quick wipe down, or by chucking in the wash.
Come along and have a go, then go home with a bunch of new reusable items that'll last you for years and cut down on the pak n save bill.
Koha is appreciated. Drop in any time between 3 and 6
