Wananga Ikura & Moon Circle
Time & Location
06 Apr 2023, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Ano Ano, Bank Street, Kaitaia 0410, New Zealand
About the event
At this wānanga, Merryn and Cynthia will facilitate a sharing & learning time centred around ikura, our menstrual cycles.
Cynthia will do a Para Kore presentation on Ikura, a Te Ao Māori perspective of our cycles and how they connect us to the whenua and ngā atua.
We'll talk about all of the different menstrual products available, from natural to single use to reusable, and how they affect our bodies and the earth.
And we'll invite anyone who wants to share their story and experiences, and talk together about how the cycles of the moon affect us. Then Merryn will guide us through making a little moon journal to record our moods and energy levels throughout the month.
This is a free wānanga, though koha or Tai Tokerau Timebank timecredits are appreciated. Please message us to let us know if you'll make it.
