Wānanga Kākano

Come and explore the area we will be planting and transforming this winter.  We’ll share stories of the trees which are here, and of the seeds of rākau and ngahere to come.  Together we will pot up all of the seeds which were gathered at Ngahuru, and you’ll have the choice to take some home to nurture for a future planting. Bring your gardening gear, and a sharp spade for dividing harakeke if you have one.  Afterwards, we’ll finish with a shared kai (bring a plate).  Whānau, tamariki, kaumātua - all are welcome. Meet at the front of Te Ahu Friday 17th May 8.45am for karakia at 9am Closing karakia at 1pm
