Repairs galore at Kaitaia Repair Cafe

Many thanks as always to our dedicated Timebank volunteers who make the Repair Cafe happen every month! Your time is valued and appreciated.

It was a mixture of repairs at the last Repair Cafe held on Saturday 29th March at the Menz Shed; an exerciser, a dryer, garden tools and more! List below:

1. Pascal started the day with the successful repair of items from Anna.

2. John pumped up Anna's bicycle tyre.

3. Next was the sharpening of Jen's knives and garden implements, as well as stabilizing a lamp.

4. John checked Jens' car tyre and worked out the tyre pressures.

5. Tui Ussher (who heard about us from a newsletter delivered to her workplace) was delighted to finally have her exerciser working. Pascal is incredible at thinking outside the box and fixes electrical items that are otherwise deemed unfixable!

6. Susan Sheffield & Richard Ball were delighted to have their tumble dryer fixed and working.

7. Time having run out, the electric chainsaw was not fixed so will go to the Menz Shed for repair.

If you missed this event and you have items that need some love and repair, get along to the next one. The Repair Cafe is held every last Saturday of the month at the Menz Shed, next to Northland Waste from 10.30am to 12.30pm. If you're a Timebank member you can pay for the repairs with Timecredits, otherwise a Koha is much appreciated.

Baking, tea and coffee is available too and it's a nice chance to catch up with members of the community. See you there!
