The Harvest is underway!

Following Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023, water and wind damage was widespread in Kaipara and many crops were lost. Some growers missed an entire growing season and the availability of kumara for purchase was significantly reduced. The young men of Greenways Trust houses 3 and 4 in Dargaville were missing the kumara with their dinners! With the help of Timebank and Flood Relief Funds from The Catholic Caring Foundation, in late 2023 they were able to create and plant their own kumara beds.
