Wicking Garden Bed Workshop

Held in conjunction with the Kaipara Budgeting Service and the Catholic Caring Foundation Resilience Fund, seasoned gardeners and those embarking on their first garden project learned to make a simple, water efficient, wicking garden bed.

Working at the CK Dargaville Community Garden, each participant created a salad bucket to take home. Much discussion was had on the use of 'found' materials to create further beds of differing sizes for crops over the coming summer.
