30 hours and/or 30 exchanges - be in to win!

You hopefully (!) remember our competition launched in March to mark 30 years of TimeBanks.Org. Well to give more folk an incentive to get their exchanges logged...

... those individuals who have logged 30 hours in the first 6 month of the year will go into the draw as well as those with 30 exchanges or more. If you have logged more than 30 hours AND 30 exchanges you go in twice!

Prizes are 2 x $30 CBEC Garden Centre vouchers* and 1 x $30 cash (* or cash if the winner doesn't live in Te Hiku). Plus each winner gets to nominate an organisational member to get 30 timecredits added to their account.

Whoever has logged the most hours in those 6 months will get an extra something whether they win the draw or not.

Logging your exchanges gives us data which keeps our funders very happy, and in these short funded days we need to prove our worth all the more!

Due to the Community Environment Fund being scrapped by our Government a lot of the other usual grant pots of cash were massively over-subscribed and as a result Tiaki Taiao got less than usual from both the Lottery and Foundation North funds, on top of not getting anything from Environment Hubs Aotearoa due to the CEF being stopped. So your Regional Coordinators have both cut their hours, to ensure that our Local Coordinators Janey (Whangārei City & Coast) and Caryl (Te Hiku) can continue at their usual hours, as supporting members directly is our priority. We'd love to have some volunteers (who earn timecredits!) to help support our members in other rohe to engage successfully with Timebanking, and as funds are found some of these hours could be paid. Short term funding for 3 months sometimes becomes available, but is really hard to use if we don't have someone already in place. If you think that you could help us out in any way please contact us!

Meanwhile, please do log those exchanges that we know many of you are making but not recording! This helps us prove that Timebanking works, and puts you in with a chance - or even two - to win.
