We're sad to lose Rebecca and Margaret from the coordination team due to conflicting demands on their time, but thankfully they're still very much a part of Tai Tokerau Timebank. However this opens up opportunities for new Local Coordinators to step in! We'd love to fill the Mid North position too, which has been vacant for some time. With the Repair Cafe now being set up in Kaikohe there's a ready made focus to build on in that rohe.
As we work as a geographically scattered team across the whole of Tai Tokerau an ability to work through online systems is essential, but training can be given in anything that is new to you.
The basics...
They're each a 5-8hrs a week role as a self employed contractor working as part of a coordination team at $30 per hour.
Key tasks include supporting engagement in Timebanking, being a community builder, a networker, and promoting reciprocal involvement in society.
Online computer skills (and internet access!) are required in addition to being a 'people person' and enthusiastic about Timebanking!
There are regular Zoom meetings which we try to time to suit everyone, but otherwise you set your own working hours.
Don't get freaked out by the job description - each could be a full time role if funds allowed! We prioritise tasks according to local need, and some tasks can be delegated to Timebank members who earn timecredits for their assistance.
