Singing ourselves back together

There are people that sing and people that think they can't. Singing is for EVERYONE!

I was a complete cynic and blew this off until I started a group called the Singing Mamas in the UK. Immediately I saw benefits to my mental health, physical health, confidence, memory and sense of community. I've been harping on about it ever since.

The beautiful people at Tiaki Taiao Headquarters managed to get a year of funding to have the one and only Singing Mamas trained singing facilitator in NZ to deliver this to our community!

The first singing group in October was a joyful experience for everyone involved. Melody brought songs that connected us as a group and connected us to the earth. It felt meditative and exciting all at once. Everyone left with a smile on their faces, feeling all the wonderful benefits that singing has.

The group was of all ages with 3 of our local Timebankers taking part. There is always room for more, so if you are interested, please feel free to join in. All voices welcomed.

So, even if you THINK you can't sing, please come!

If you THINK it's a load of baloney, I want you there! and if you want to be part of something special head on down to Kaipātiki Ecohive, 195 Puketona Road, Haruru on the second Saturday of the month, 1pm for 45 minutes. The next session is 12th November.
