Get in quick for the 'Fun with Fabric' Workshop in Kaitaia!

Updated: Mar 1

Have you been wanting to try something new/creative/fun/artistic and crafty?

We have exciting workshops coming up in March in Kaitaia exploring two unique fabric crafts of Batik and Needle Felting. Facilitated by two experienced artists, each workshop member will explore both craft techniques using recycled natural fabrics over three days. All materials are supplied, a koha is much appreciated.

BATIK: Use recycled natural fabrics to create striking, colourful designs on fabric that you can later utilise in a variety of ways e.g. cards, bookmarks, framed picture, headband, table mat. Debbie will guide you through the process of layering wax and dyes to create a vibrant design.

NEEDLE FELTING: Upcycle your old woollens into something truly unique and beautiful. Lois will teach you how to make embellished fabrics, wall hangings, brooches and book covers.
